Who We Are
We are people like you who only want the best for our children. We are parents and concerned citizens of all kinds: foster parents, kinship parents, birth parents and grandparents, child welfare professionals, health care providers, attorneys, the juvenile justice community and anyone else that shares our vision.
The Family Support Center of Barry County is a premiere non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening parents and families with the goal of raising strong, safe and healthy children. We aim to prevent child abuse, ensure safety, eliminate all forms of neglect, and provide education and guidance for abused/neglected children and at-risk parents. By reaching deep into the community and collaborating with other agencies that share our mission we’re able to provide a variety of Family-focused services. Without the support of our surrounding communities, board members, local companies and organizations none of this would be possible. For the past three decades, we’ve helped countless children and families find their way to a better, brighter future. With your help, we will continue to provide support for each family through comprehensive education, awareness, and advocacy.
Annual dinner event
Our 2nd Annual Spring Benefit Dinner was a success! We were able to raise money in support of eliminating child abuse in our community. A BIG thank you to our table sponsors and those attendees who donated to support our cause.

Come celebrate the kick off to summer with free & fun activities at the Very Barry Summer & Rotary Bike Helmet Event.
Over 20 booths will be available for you to learn new free or low cost activities to take home and enjoy all summer long.
The Barry County Rotary will be giving away free bike helmets, enjoy a free nutritional breakfast, take home door prizes and a free calendar filled with fun ideas and events to do all summer long.

GOLFERS NEEDED!!
We are looking for golfers to help support the Family Support Center of Barry County. Below are two events this summer where you can get your golf on and support fighting Child Abuse.
Bill Porter Memorial Charity Golf Classic: June 14th, 2013 9am Hastings Country Club
We have been selected as one of the charities for this annual fundraising event. How it works - each golfer is given a ballot (ticket) to vote for their favorite charity. The four charities will receive the proceeds base on their percentage of votes. Golfers can purchase additional ballots to submit as many votes as they wish.
We need golfers to enter into this event and use their ballot and vote for US The Family Support Center of Barry County!!

12th Annual Elks/Family Support Center Golf Outing: August 10, 2013 10am Hastings Country Club
For the last 12 years we have teamed up with the Hastings Elks Lodge to raise money in support of preventing child abuse in Barry County.
This event kicks off at 8am with a hearty breakfast then a shotgun start at 10am.
